Pricing and licensing
How much does ContractCube cost?
€47.88 per year per company, equivalent to €3.99 per month. It is billed annually and paid upfront. VAT is added where it applies; the order form shows the total for your country. The Server Edition has its own price, shown on the pricing page.
Is it a subscription? Will I be charged automatically?
No. There is no subscription, no stored card and no automatic renewal. Each year you place a renewal order and pay it. We remind you 60, 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before the license expires.
How do I pay?
By bank transfer, using your order number as the payment reference. A one-time card payment link may also be offered. The license is issued once we have confirmed the payment on our account.
Does one license cover the desktop app and the Cloud?
Yes. The Standard license works in the Windows app and in ContractCube Cloud. The Server Edition needs its own Server Edition license.
How many people can use one license?
Unlimited authorised users within your company. Activation of the desktop app on up to 25 computers is included as fair use; contact us if you need more.
When does my license year start?
When you first activate it. Please activate within 90 days of receiving the license; after that date the year starts automatically.
What happens if I renew early?
The new year is added to your current expiry date, so you never lose paid days.
Can I get a refund?
Consumers in the EU have a 14-day right of withdrawal as described in the Terms. Contact us within that period. A refunded license is deactivated.
Trial and data
How does the free trial work?
You get 30 days with every feature, in the browser or in the Windows app, without payment details. After the trial, ContractCube becomes read-only until a license is activated.
What happens if my license expires?
ContractCube switches to read-only. All contracts and documents stay available, you can download attachments and export everything. Nothing is deleted. Renewing unlocks editing again without reinstalling.
Where is my data stored?
In the desktop app: on your computer, in a local database and an encrypted attachment folder; the app does not upload your contracts. Only licensing information (activation key, workspace ID, device ID, app version) is sent to our licensing server. In ContractCube Cloud: on servers in the European Union, with documents encrypted at rest. In the Server Edition: on your own server and database.
How much storage does the Cloud include?
10 GB of documents per company, 2 GB during the trial. Extra storage packs are available if you need more.
Can I export everything?
Yes, at any time and also after a license expired: full JSON export, CSV, Excel and PDF reports, and every attachment.
Does the desktop app work without internet?
Yes. Everyday use is fully offline. Internet is needed for online activation, the daily license check, updates and ordering. Computers that are always offline can be activated with a license file.
Product
Can my team share one workspace?
Yes, with ContractCube Cloud or the Server Edition: everyone works on the same contracts with their own role. The desktop app on its own keeps one workspace per computer and does not synchronise between computers.
Do you send reminder emails?
In ContractCube Cloud and the Server Edition, reminders are sent by email and unhandled ones are escalated to a manager. The desktop app shows reminders as Windows notifications while it runs (it stays in the system tray).
Is the electronic signature legally valid?
It is a simple electronic signature under the eIDAS Regulation, with audit evidence: email verification with a one-time code, consent, time, IP and SHA-256 fingerprints in a signature certificate. It is not an advanced or qualified signature. Where the law or your partner requires a qualified signature, use a qualified provider. Qualified signatures are planned.
Is ContractCube an electronic archive?
It is archive-ready: retention periods, legal holds, PDF/A versions, integrity checks and archive packages for transfer. It is not an accredited archive.
Are the contract templates legally checked?
They are well-structured starting points. Every situation is different, so please have the final text checked by a lawyer.
Is there a macOS app?
Not yet. The desktop app is available for Windows now, and macOS is planned. On a Mac, use ContractCube Cloud in any modern browser.
Which languages are supported?
English, Romanian, German and French, with dates, numbers and currencies in the local format.
